Nov 29, 2016 @ 11:12am. In case you had missed it, the station shows only one symbol (& I have no idea how it picks which one) even when there is more than one type of mission available. Meaning that even if you're looking for specific types of mission (such as "Taxis") you should check any station with a mission icon.

In order to do missions, look for stations that have a symbol in the top corner of them. When you do, hit C when you're 25 km of the station and then talk to the guy giving the mission. The crosshair represents fighting missions, the "cent" represents trading, green bricks building, and lightbulb are misc. missions.
