Facts. When General Motors took over Oldsmobile in 1996, they moved all of the Lansing office workers to Detroit's Renaissance Center, leaving the old headquarters empty. The building was completed in two phases. The 2-story, stone-faced structure was completed in 1961, and the 5-story, glass-and-aluminium-faced structure was completed in 1966.
